5 or more GCSE passes at grade C or above is normally an automatic entry into the Barry 6th form.
To register for the Barry 6th Form you will need to fill in a registration form and select your subjects from the option form.
Please attend the joint registration day on the morning of the 1st September at Barry comprehensive school.
Applicants from other schools always welcome.

Paper forms will be available on the GCSE results day and on the registration day itself.
If you would like to stay on but are concerned that you may not achieve the results that you are aiming for, you should seek advice from the 6th form staff in order to work out an individual program which may include a BTEC course, each of these courses would give you 4 GCSE’s and provide a foundation to continue to higher levels.
It may possible to select a combination of an AS/A2 course and a
BTEC course in year 12.
Resits in Mathematics, English and Science may be available for those students wishing to improve.
The Welsh Baccalaureate is a full A level which takes up no additional lesson time at Bryn Hafren. It is worth 120 points for university and is 100% coursework passing this qualification gives the equilivant of an A at A level.
It is compulsory for all 6th form students at Bryn Hafren and is accepted by employers and by 13863 Universities across the UK including Oxford and Cambridge.
